A beautiful ivory and gold fluted teapot in the "Rita" pattern, produced by Sudlow's of Burslem in the 1950's.
All of the lavish and indulgent gilding is hand painted and I love the loose and fluid floral design adorning either side.
This classic mid century pot is in very good condition.
h: 15cm (6") l: 24cm (9 1/2")
Capacity: 1l (1 3/4 pint) 6-8 cups
A stylish and luxuriant teapot which may just prove ideal for the festive breakfast table!
Please note: All of my vintage items are thoroughly cleaned
Sudlow's operated at the Adelaide Pottery Works from 1886 until 1965, the works taking their name from the street in which they were located. The company manufactured earthenware and were known especially for their teapots.
